Sunlight

A look back at some cool pictures Mom took

The other day Mom was reading a post by one of her blogging friends, Leah, at Catwoods Porch Party. In it, there was a cute picture of Stripey, a tabby like me, in the sun. It made Mom remember that she had once done a post about sunlight in photographs, way back in 2017 when I was still a baby.

In fact, there’s even a kitten named Stripey in it too! (No, that’s not me, even though he is almost as cute!)

Also, I might mention that at one point she says her granddaughter was 14 years old. She is now 21. I love her, but I do enjoy randomly hissing at her for no reason.

To be honest, Mom has been working really hard on a new post, “Letters from Geo, Part 2”, but there has been so much research involved that if she’s going to do it right it will take a little while to finish. So in the meantime, we’ll go back and look at “A Place in the Sun”.

It starts out like this:

I have always been fascinated by photographs of sunlight shining through or on things. Especially plants and cats. Here I’ll share with you some “sunlight pictures” that I have taken recently, as well as some from years ago.

Click on “A Place in the Sun” to read the rest. Hope you like it!

  1. Thank you so much for the mention, NANASWORLDWEB! Thanks also, for the delightful look back at your sunny pictures! Stunningly beautiful scenes and the cats are beautiful too. Stripey is for sure a great name for those gorgeous tabby cats, isn’t it!

    1. You’re welcome! I was hoping it would be ok with you if I did that. It’s funny but we used to call little Stripey “Stripey Cat” too! So it caught my attention when you had the same name for yours! There was also one we called Chocolate Cat because he was a really pretty chocolate brown color.

      1. 😎 Cool! I do know one other person who had a cat named Stripey. And, I had a chocolate brown cat too! A big Tuxie named Bud. I always wondered if he had some Havana Brown ancestry, although he was getal-born. He’s pictured various places on my site. He was my Editing Cat.
