Who’s got the button?
When I was little my Grandma Johnson used to play a game with us kids. It was called, to the best of my recollection, “Button, Button, Who’s Got the Button?” I don’t remember all of it, but it involved one person having a button in their hands and the others trying to guess who had it. I remember how fun it was to go through my mom’s “button box” as a child, looking at all the different colors and shapes. So it should not come as a surprise to anyone that I would bring them home from her house, after we had organized some old sewing supplies together.A few weeks ago I decided to pour them all out onto the table in the sewing room and organize them by color.Needless to say, it took forever! This is the “white or used to be white” category. I left the ones that were still on the cards, because they looked so “vintage” that way.Voila! Finished! And as if that weren’t enough…These are my new buttons, because you never know when you will need a certain color.Or because they were foxes, and they were half price! What am I going to do with all these buttons? To tell the truth, I have no idea. But if worst comes to worst I can always use the extra ones for decorations.
So if you’re wondering who’s got the button…
