The Further Adventures of Panda

Hi everyone! This is Panda, and I know it’s been awhile since you heard from me! Ever since Foster took me on our Flying Carpet Adventure to the Grand Canyon, it has been in my mind to write another post for you guys.

Naturally I have to start with this…our first baby picture. Unless you’re just tuning in, you have seen this picture before. Hard to believe I was ever bigger than Foster, isn’t it? It’s even harder to believe he ever looked so innocent!

This one is a little blurry but I think it pretty much sums up life as I know it!

Now don’t get me wrong, I love Foster and all, but I don’t want to give you the impression that life with this cat is always a piece of cake!

For more details on this, you’ll need to read “A Flying Carpet Ride”. Let me just say, a picture is worth a thousand words!
mouse in water
You may already have read Mouse in Water.” Right after Mom posted that one, she came home and found ME in the water!

I kid you not, this really happened! It was a pretty hot day, so I didn’t really mind that much, but after that Mom had to wring me out in the sink and put me in the washer and dryer.

Before she put me in the washer, she sat me on a dishtowel to dry off. I pretended it was a beach towel and wished I had brought the sunscreen.
close call
Then the other day Mom found me like this. It was a close call, but I somehow managed to avoid falling in the water this time! I was glad because that washer and dryer experience was a bit harrowing and I didn’t want to have to repeat it!

One thing Mom always says is that she never knows where she will find me next.

For some reason she thinks this one is exceptionally funny. After working on her laptop while sitting on the couch, she went to set it on the floor in front of her and there I was!

Of course, I still get to sleep with Foster on the bed anytime I want.

I do, however, routinely fall off the bed. Don’t know if you can see it here,  but in this picture I’m perched precariously on the footboard!

Oops, looks like we fell off the Flying Carpet again!

panda by banjo
In case you’ve wondered who plays the banjo in our family, it’s not me! Mom took lessons for awhile but she says music lessons have always intimidated her so she quit. But she keeps it out on its stand to remind her just in case she ever does decide to pick it up and practice.
Panda in box
Mom gave Foster a cardboard box with crumpled up paper in it to play with. (Who can figure cats?) But THEN she got the bright idea to put ME in the box to see what Foster would do! I’m not sure, but I think stuff like that could border on panda abuse!

This is Foster’s idea of hiding from Mom. How do I let myself get dragged into these things?
pandas in guest room 2
It might surprise you to know that I am not the only panda in the house. Mom has several, but they’re all in the guest room. In fact, that’s where I used to hang out before Mom got Foster. She picked me out of her whole collection to be the kitty toy. Sometimes I’m not sure how I should interpret that…

I have to say, Mom’s panda collection is nothing compared to her sister’s! You can see pictures of them in “Cousin Tom Cat’s Adventure”.
Here are a few more shots of me in various stages of (mis)adventure. Let’s just put it this way: There’s never a dull moment in the life of a panda!
