A Friend for Belle

So Mom brought home this box…

opening boxHi, this is Foster, reporting on our latest online purchase. Mom said I could do this post because after all, I love boxes, and it came in a box.Foster with Walmart boxWe’ll start with the most important part…the BOX! Of course I helped Mom open the box, as I always do. But what was in it? Unbeknownst to me, she had ordered ANOTHER 18-inch doll for the sewing room! doll boxSo inside “my” new box was this box, which she immediately took into the sewing room to unpack. Why did she need another 18-inch doll, you may ask? Well that’s what I said, but Mom replied that she needs a doll with different hair.doll's hair There are hair accessories she could make, but she can’t try them on Belle, because of the way her hair is fixed. She’s not about to undo the rubber bands in Belle’s hair because she knows she will never be able to get them put back in right. Plus she thought it would be cool to have two models for her handmade doll clothes instead of just one.hair sewn togtherMom thought it was pretty interesting how they had this one’s hair packaged. It took her awhile to figure out how to undo it all.

So this is how she looks with her hair down. The next thing Mom did was pick out an outfit for her from our “inventory”. Because she came with the turquoise headband, she chose a light turquoise print dress with white rick-rack. Now we just have to figure out a name for her.both dollsAren’t they both adorable? in waste basketWell, not as adorable as me, that goes without saying, but for dolls they’re kind of cute.doll dressesSo now we have a whole 18-inch doll “closet” full of outfits hanging from the sewing room window sill. Can you believe she actually went on Amazon and ordered doll clothes hangers??? She says she’s getting ready for her pre-Christmas doll clothes “boutique”. Okay…

Meanwhile, I’ll watch this whole thing unfold from a distance.
